ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Vtec Problems :,(

So lately I have been traveling alot so of course I step on the gas alot more and open up VTEC more often. maybe about two weeks ago I stepped on the gas and it sort of felt as if VTEC was dropping in and out, almost as if it was lagging. I checked the ECU and its fine I swapped it out and it still does it. Any Ideas on where to start?!? help is MUCH appreciated, Thanks.

I breathe down shit so hard, you could see sound.

Sorry, I have a JDM H22A and it happens roughly from 5600-6000 where it drops, opens back up untill about 6400 and drops again untill 7,200ish again this is estimated.

You might try testing and checking the wiring first. The solenoid wire should be green/yellow and go to pin A4 on ECU. The Pressure switch wire is blue and goes to pin D6, and the ground wire is black/Red. Since it is JDM, the pressure switch signal at pin D6 may be wired to pin A4. This will also activate VTEC. Check for loose connections. Also, if you do have the pressure switch, check your oil level, as this will affect engagement.

I have noticed that if your motor gets low on oil then it will do the same thing. You might want to check that just to be sure it's not a oil pressure problem, especially because you have been driving more and you have been going into Vtec more often.

After you are sure it has the right amount of oil I would start with the Vtec pressure switch like everyone else mentioned.

get $20 and go to honda, buy both vtec gaskets and strainer

they're probably dirty, creating the in-out if vtec, also you do a lot of driving
if with gaskets it doesnt work
try hooking up 12+v to the solenoid, while driving, if problem still resides
                oil
                sensor

                    Synthetic will find leaks faster.

Honestly, you should never burn or leak enough oil to affect the function of VTEC between oil changes. If your engine is leaking or burning that badly, you should repair it as soon as possible, and stay away from the VTEC range...
