ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

my outer tie rod is also wobbly, try replacing it and see if that helps it..mine used to make a noise but after I replaced axles it went away..it took a couple of days for it to go away, but i dont hear it anymore..

my car used to make a clicking noise also when turning left. then one day i heard a loud thud and the lower balljoint snapped. I was thrown into a ditch immediately, so i would definitely get that checked bud.

Go to your local auto parts store and buy a chilton or haynes manual. It will give you step by step instructions with pictures. A great book for a beginner

under hard turning my suspension sounds like a pomeranian getting sat on, could that be my CV shaft? it could be the struts too cuz i blew one a couple of days ago when i went 40 over a 6" deep pot hole (its fun when they sneak up on you :| )

Eh. I got both of my axles from advanced and they have been beatin up left and right for over a year. No ripped boots or any problems.

EMPI Axles are the shit! I've got those in my car right now and they're nice and solid. The pass. side one is 50k miles old and no issues at all.

What the Hell can This Be??
Yes i have noticed this also but on my Dads CB. It only occurs on left hand turns.

At the moment its so subtle you would think its just a vibration inside the cabin somewhere.

I have recently changed my axles (well its still original just the boots as i was able to spot the tear and replaced it before it started clicking) and is 100% its not the problem. I tested it lock to lock right to left turns and no clicking.

The noise occurs when you are cruising and taking a left turn. There is a slight vibration / loose sounding but not serious. As I said its so slight you doubt that it could just be internal plastics vibrating or rubbing with the steering wheel (such as the plastic housing around the indicator and washer stalks).

However i really believe its a mechanically related (loose or worn) as upon closer scrutiny there is a slight vibration coming in from my steering wheel. Could it be the steering rack?

What was everyones experience (signs, sounds and feel of wear and tear) that would indicate it to be:

                                Steering Rack

                                Stabiliser bar (rubbers bushings)

                                Inner Tie Rods

                                Outer Tie Rods

                                Upper Ball Joints

                                Lower Ball joints

                                Radius rods (bushings)
