ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    h22a overheating

ok i notice that my cooling fan dont kick in when it reaches normal temperture..i check my fuse and its good i checked the relay its good too but i notice that theres four pins on where the relay sits and there a constant power, constant ground and a gound with the key...now the other pin is most likely the signal but i dont think there's any signal going through so if yall had this problem before it would help cause i was think.. since i did the auto to manaul swap that, that could be a reason..?? cause the two left over plugs for the tcu...but i have a manaul p13 ecu..do i have to do some other wiring that i should know of??

    THANKS...

do you get any CEL codes.

the sensor on the thermostat housing is where the fan gets its sending information from.

when it heats certain temp this sensor sends signal to turn the fan on.

you can try hooking up 12v to your fan wire, to see if it turns on.
if it does not turn on then you need a new fan.

Is it actually over heating, or just not coming on when it gets to operating temp?

As above, the sensor on the thermostat is the one that turns the fans on and off.

              Hey,

had the same problem, and it was the sensor the others are talking about, had a wiring issue and was an easy fix. The fans in CB7s are generally pretty reliable so id definitely check the sensor and in particular the wiring. Pretty easy to check if the fan is working or not, just give it some 12v power. Basically just backing up what the others said, I would definitely take their advice

              good luck

Check ur coolant levels, top off the radiator, run with the cap off so it burps the rad. then fill ur resevoir up half way.
Have u changed the thermostat lately?

Have you checked for power and earth at the fan plugs?

If there is power and earth at the fan plugs and the fans wont run, then the fan is faulty.

Either you have no idea what you are talking about, or the fan IS working and your just saying it isn't.

Can you explain in detail what you have done / replaced / checked so far?
