ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It does nothing but put the incoming air into a completely useless turbulent vortex in front of the throttle plate. If it was placed behind the throttle plate I could see it maybe causing a useful vortex. But where it is placed before the throttle plate it's useless. They don't do anything but make your intake whistle.

It's like taking one of those pinwheel things you see people have in their front yard, and putting it into your intake.
Silly silly, lol.

Throttle body spacers from most companies produce a vortex located behind the plate... that's a better bet for actual gainsTeam FTW

Even that wouldn't have much use, since the air would just become a turbulent mess as soon as it hit the plenum anyway.Originally posted by GhostAccord View PostIt does nothing but put the incoming air into a completely useless turbulent vortex in front of the throttle plate. Just a restriction. It looks believable, though... which is why people fall for it. Especially these days, when money is tight, and people want to save on gas!

Could you post the test results so everyone else can see.Originally posted by Deetz View PostI've seen these tested before, they do not work!

even behind the throttle plate I don't see a benefit...you've still got the runners to take into consideration.
there have been several magazines that have tested it and found a decrease in both performance and mpg's. One being consumer reports...not digest...reports. Very reputable/reliable/scientific group of folks.
it's what we call...snake oil there are many others.
here's is a link to another reputable mag...

Once the air hits the back of the valve its just going to become turbulent again if the tornado was after the throttle plate.
I'm going to start selling these for use in exhausts!2010 Taurus SHO - Livernois Goodies

Yeah but what if you were to put a CCW rotation on the air? In theory that would force the air down into the left to right curved runners faster, would it not?Originally posted by bcjammerx View Posteven behind the throttle plate I don't see a benefit...you've still got the runners to take into consideration.
Can you show us just how turbulent the air becomes after hitting the back of a valve? wait a minute. If the spiral of air can get the air to the back of the valve faster than the sock TB & runner can it's already done it's job. Who cares about after that valve? This topic has nothing to do with air passing the valve seat, that's comes down to what type of valve job you have.Originally posted by chessboxer View Postx2
