ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    ENGINE fan help

hey guys, i ended up taking out my driver-side radiator fan a while back because it broke. I still have the passenger side fan in and connected to the driver-side fans electrical plug. The funny thing is, it never turns on. If i let my car idel for 7 min's or longer my temp starts to rise. correct me if im wrong but the passenger side fan is for the AC? my ac is shot so i just plugged it into the Driver-side fans plug.

Does anyone know of a simple solution to get this fan to turn on? I know it works because ive put it on a 12 volt and it runs just fine.

Also, not a thread jack, but both of mine RARELY come on. ONLY when I use my ac does either of them come on...but my car has never over heated and temp gauge never goes above halfway. Don't know if cd5s are different or not, but...

      LHD or RHD?
The A/C fan is the smaller fan.

Have you tested the fans (by applying 12v to the motor) to check if the fan motor is faulty?
      Have you checked the fuses?
Sometime the coolant temp sensor can go faulty, and cause the fan not to run, If you bypass the temp switch and the fan runs that will test the rest of the circuit as OK.

Thanks Evil demon, ill have to bypass the fan switch. My car is left hand drive, USDM. So i removed the smaller one, i still have the big one in there, the one that is right below the inlet on the radiator.

Quick question, how do i bypass the fan switch? =/

if the fans are suppose to turn on after the car is off, mine used to do that a long time ago when i bought the beast, but now its silent, maybe this can be the cause of my shitty compression?

The fan switch is on the thermostat housing.
Remove the plug from the switch, then put a split pin or piece of wire to join both terminals in the plug together.
