ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    f22 engine s2000 trany

with the 6speed transmition from an 2004 -2009 s2000 bolt up to the f22a4???
im suspecting it will because that model year had the f22c1 in it but im not entirely sure

No, they are COMPLETELY different. The S2000's engine is an F series in name only. It shares nothing in common with the Accord engines, other than the fact that it's a 4 cylinder Honda engine.

It also turns the rear wheels via a single driveshaft, mated to a longitudinally mounted engine.

hope you've got $30,000 to $100,000 to blow...and are one kick ass welder...and have done several high end complex restoration jobs.

if you are serious about this then you should not need to ask...you should know an adapter plate would be required...but you didn't know that.

also, that tranny is designed for that engine...think about it. That engine revs to 9000 easy, f22...6000, it isn't geared right.

so if you are SERIOUSLY trying to do this (never mind the hundreds of threads like this that are always popping up and result in nothing) you would be better sticking with the s2000 engine. Rebuilding the f22 to match the s2k's engine output would run you more than just an s2k engine would cost

i wanna stay true to the cb7 with the engine... to a point and the g22 build can make a hell of alot of power with the right parts

Tear your F22ax apart and build it to handle your 20-25 psi. Leave your F22 tranny on there for long gears, and you will smoke the shit outa any s2000... Assuming you can hook up. You could go H instead of G, which has more power and is easier to drop than the G22. But a built F22, with its iron sleeves and low compression will be pretty strong. Not sure how dependable anything will be even when built at 25psi though...

But i would love to see a 25psi, RWD g22 cb7... good luck.

                          Heres an 18psi g22 cb7.

i wish i could leave the stock trany in there but that would be way to big of a pain to use in a rwd setup and i was looking at the 2004-2009 s2000 trany because it has the longer gears out of the 2 different ones and its a 6 speed which i just think is cool. idk y but i have always loved 6 speeds and the main resone i dont want to swap in an h is because they have fiber reinforced cylinder walls which cannot be bord out at all and as far as the f22 cylinder walls they will have wet sleeves and a block guard installed

The G series is a 5 cylinder engine found in the Inspire/Vigor.
