ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

You will have to remove the entire dash. That'll take up to an hour or so if you have a manual handy to tell you where all the screws and bolts are, or if you've done it before. There may be a write up on here somewhere...?
Once the dash (and possibly center console) is out, it's not too hard after that point. The worst part for me was getting the coolant hoses off at the firewall. They were corroded to the point that it was very hard to remove them. I ended up cutting the hoses off to remove the heater core and then bought new ones. I recommend buying new ones before you start so you have them if you need them. Otherwise you'll need another car to drive around and find a set.
Anyway, pulling the dash and removing the heater hoses are the worst parts. Other than that it's pretty simple. You will have to remove your steering wheel and combination light/wiper switch to pull the dash.
Good luck, let me know if you have more questions. I'll do my best to talk you through it.
It will probably take you a whole day to complete this project. I suggest you have a couple jugs of coolant, new heater hoses, drip pan, and rags on hand so you don't have to stop what you're doing to go buy stuff you need. Coolant has to be bled after your done.Last edited by wherm; 07-12-2010, 10:12 PM.

just take your time removing the dash most of the wiring will unplug but there is a ground or 2 and heater cable, just make mental notes of where everything goes, like wherm said the hardest part is removing the dash, dont rush it and it should look like it did before u started the job
