ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    car fell?

well yesterday we were lowering my car (I LOVE IT) but then accidentally dropped the jack to fast and my car slammed to the ground now everything in my car is stiffer?
like the shifter(auto) lets say when i put it from park to drive everything its harder to pull it to drive
or when i turn my high beams on the switch also feels alot harder to turn on than before?
    thanks for the help

Maybe if you dropped your car off a building you could bend something and kink the cable goin to the tranny, and it prob would be harder to get in gear, but i dont see why the highbeam would be "hard" to engage theres nothin mechanical past the switch, its hook up through wires. i dont see how droppin the jack to fast would cause any of this, but i guess i butterfly flapping its wings can cause an earthquake on the other side of the world

I think you're paranoid and looking for things to be wrong after lowering your car off the jack too fast.

        It's fine. Drive it.

The cables start to stiffen up with age, on my old cb I was driving out of the freeway and it was really stiff to shift I thought it was the trany and I checked the cables and linkage. The cables have this white looking lubricant inside of them I know because I took mine apart and they where tearing so you might want to check the cables and see if there is any of that white grease looking substance maybe they are starting to go bad and maybe you can just change the cables and that would help with the shifting. Just my .02 somebody might have a better technical term to what I am describing

                              Lowering will stiffen your ride.

Being very nervous will make controls like the high beam feel heavy.
