Ok I have read a couple things on f22's and h22's and was just wondering what you guys thought. I originally wanted to do an h22 swap but now am thinking of converting my auto to 5 speed and getting a turbo. Would the conversion be difficult and what do you guys suggest? F22 or H22?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

F22 vs H22

Neither, lol, I personally am in love with the JDM f22b DOHC, not because i have one,(not the only reason lol). This would give you the easiest install, because depending on the H22 you get youll need to wire up some things like the Vtec and knock sensor, as well as some motor mounts. the f22b is almost a direct fit, as you only have to mod the trans to fit the mount by drilling and tapping out a unused bolt hole in the casing, and put the stud from the old tranny in the new, if your just swapping the block this wont have to be done, this is among other things that need to done, like swapping the fuel rail as JDM cars have the fuel line coming to other side because of the RHD, there is a full write up on here in the swaps section. this engine is as easy to boost as the F22Ax because of its sleeves, H22 would require resleeving which isnt cheap.

Honestly half maybe more than half Honda/Acura owners that race/tune/mod their cars dont know what a F22AX is or is capable of......the auto to 5spd and turbo is the easiest way to see true potential out of the F22 Single cam....plp will ask to see ur engine....once you pop the hood they wont know what it is all they'll say is "Vtec?"....the H22 is a good one also not saying its a bad choice of motor but a lil in the expensive side....u decide to spend money to swap when with th same amount you can built & boost the F22...all that money on the H and you dont have anything left over for performance build....do you understand...i got a big headache and i cant keep my head str8....

So how easy is an H23 then? Similar to F22b, or somewhere between the two?Originally posted by Slice One View PostNeither, lol, I personally am in love with the JDM f22b DOHC, not because i have one,(not the only reason lol). sohc on boost is nice. depending on your mechanical skills the 5spd conversion can be done in a few hours. run about 10psi and you should get about 230ish wheel hp.
H swap also depends on mechanical skills. can be done in a day or less. h22 requires pin swap for the ecu and running a few wires for vtec to work and for the knock sensor.
do you research before attemping anything. ask questions, there are alot of people on the board willing to help. check out the DIY threads pleanty of info there.MR:http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=150506
