ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Compatible distributor

I'm going to go to the jy to pick up a distributor for my 90 accord. It has a f22a motor in it but I don't know id it's a a1, a4, or a6; all that it says on the engine block is "f22a". Well, my question is does anybody know what distributors are compatible with this engine and case I can't find an accord at the jy. Thanks.

you want 1 from a 90 or 91. they have internal coils. 92 and 93 have external coils. you dont want those. the a1 a4 or a6 does not matter. just try to find the highest quality one you can get. make sure you look inside at the components before you buy it. idk about your jy but here they want $100 for a dizzy. so i would make sure its in good working order if possible before you buy it.

I got this car use so I don't know its history but I was able to take a look at the distributor this morning and itis labeled td-41u. I'm starting to think this engine came from a different car. does anybody know if this distributor is for a 90-91or92-93.

A quick search on google shows that a td-41u belongs to a d series honda civic. Now I'm more confused. are these distributors interchangeable? if so, is there any difference in performance? Oh by the way I'm replacing it because of an internal oil leak inside the dizzy.

i dont know what you mean by internal coil leak. the coil is a metal object i dont think it has any liquid anywhere inside the dizzy. when people speak of leaks to me it means water leaks or i guess air too. i would try to get the right dizzy for the f series. idk if they are interchangeable with civics or not.

Oil from the head is leaking into the distributor and that oil then leaks out of the distributor all over the passenger side off my engine and onto the floor. I took the distributor apart and found out the culprit is a worn out seal. I'm just going to replace the seal for now and get a f series distributor when I have more money. As I mentioned before, I don't know what year my engine is and I'm pretty sure its not the original engine, but its there any way to tell what year engine I have.I want to make sure I get the right distributor.
