Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    How can I stiffen clutch

I've driven a few manual Hondas - accords, civics, preludes - and my 91 Accord EX clutch pedal is very soft. Is there any way to adj. this to make it stiffer. I test drove a civic recently and when I got back in my car I ended up slamming the clutch pedal into the floor it was so soft. The clutch was replaced only about 10 months ago, and it work fine otherwise. Just extremely soft. I want it to feel stiffer, more sporty feel.

    TAS rear drum-to-disc conversion (6/2010)

Yeah by nature yes. I guess you could always buy a new master and slave cylinder, flush out all the old fluid. It made mine a little firmer.
        wat?

I have the same prob with my 1990 cb my clutch goes all the way to the floor, but the newer stick cars I've driven the clutch pedal feels like the brake pedal.

I dont think itll ever feel like a brake pedal but if bleed the system and get a braided steel clutch line it will feel 100% better

when you say soft do you mean easy to push soft or like the clutch is mushy? cause i have noticed accords have a very easy clutch. my stage two feels like a stock clutch. i have only driven one civic that felt like mine. get a stage clutch and it will feel "more sporty".

Check your slave cylinder to see if its leaking, replace it, and give it a good bleed. Its a cheap part, and makes a hell of difference. I just did mine last week, cost me like $12.40 at Autozone...if it doesnt work then, it might be an issue with the CMC.

Putting a "stage clutch" wont affect how the pedal feels, it affects how responsive the clutch is. I have a stage 3 and the pedal doesnt feel much different from factory even with the braided clutch line, but i can double clutch and get into gear much faster, in fact it shaved .04 off my quarter

you need stiffer springs in the pressure plate.

am sorry to interrupt but, my CB7 have had the same problem, i opened the clutch master cylinder, as i tried it for the last time and put it back in my CB7, bleed the fluid, it worked perfectly fine, as the problem was that the CLUTCH PEDAL nut, which gets to be fixed with the clutch master cylinder got bigger for which there was a play in it,i put a bigger nut and bolt of 12mm and it solved the problem. am sorry, am not that technical as compare to you guys, obviously u r the best

there are no cable clutch f22 trans, that i know of, unless it was a custom job(don't see the reason why anyone would do that)

like wed3k said the only way to make it stiffer is to put a stronger pressure plate in, unless the line had air in it, a leak, or deteriorating rubber line

A stiffer pressure plate won't change the way the hydraulic pedal feels.

It will make the clutch harder to push right, making it "stiffer" ?

really deev well this is taken from ACT's website

Sport Pressure Plate: Clamps load increase of 20% to 40%. Pedal feels stock to moderate

Xtreme Pressure Plate: Clamps load increase of 50% to 120%, Pedal feels moderate to stiff, Many SFI Certified to insure safety

if that doesn't mean a stiffer pedal effort then i am not sure what they are getting at

have you by any chance ever driven a car with one of these in it b/c my buudy has one of the clutch's with the Xtreme plate and pedal effort was nowhere near stock
