Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    very hard start this morning??

    so its 6:30 am and cold my car was sitting 4 about 14 hours. The car was turning over, but not starting, its tuned up and everything. never did a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator, it really feels like the fuel pressure isnt strong,and never did injectors? please help car has 270,000, but still runs great!!

    When was the last time you had your starter or battery replaced?

      pretty recently, and just last week i got the starter,battery and alternator check at advanced, everything came back strong.

        Can you smell fuel? If so then it's probably not getting a spark. If you can't smell fuel then try replacing some of those component you listed. Also, your title seems to imply that it did eventually start. Although your description says otherwise.

        30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
        27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

          apparently this is just a recent thing that happens. And with the cold weather kicking in it has made it difficult to start.

            did you check fuel pump (main)relay

              I'd say 100% its the main relay. I had this issue back in nov. 06' my car kept cranking and cranking

              you can fix it by resoldering all the connections...what happens is they crack over the years due to a combo of heat/age/vibrations

                this car really has a mind of its own, started fine today?? and i did do the main relay, last year so i dont think that s it i got the part at advanced.

                    cold weather can have a effect on start up's. does it crank well in warmer temps ?

                        starts fine in warm weather, yes did fuel filter recently, going to swap out main relay today, becouse, had trouble starting again today.

                          my original starter motor was going out at 267k and was cranking pretty slow with a good battery. once i r&r the starter motor, it starts in a jiffy because of faster cranking speed.
