ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Did you recently do an oil change? If oil has leaked onto your downpipe, you will smell burning oil when it heats up.

Pull out the spark plug wires and see if there is any oil on them. Thats all I can think of.

Thats strange.Just to be safe, make sure theres still oil in the car! Not to insult your intelligence or sense of smell, are you sure its not an exhaust leak? I know you said you checked the exhaust, but what about the header under hood as well for leaks or cracks? Also, how about a leaking fuel filter or injectors?

If the smell is strong inside the cabin, then internally burning oil wouldn't be a likely cause unless the car is sitting at idle for an extended period of time, or has an exhaust leak (which was already ruled out.) The only way it'd be storng in the cabin while the car was being driven is if it was burning off the outside of the downpipe.

i changed all seals and gaskets, including exhaust gaskets, oil is full clean and its not losing any.. i have sense developed an exhaust rattle, so im thinking there might be my problem..

after driving for a few min then opening the hood to continue my search of the fumes i noticed what looks like small droplets of oil all over the the intake manifold, valve cover, and in between.. anyone else ever experience this? still no visible signs of oil leaks..

Check all of the grommets around the nuts which hold the VC down. If one is just a bit loose it will spew oil.

do you see any wet spots where your valve cover meets the head? may have moved the valve cover gasket just enough so it didn't seat correctly. letting oil pass.
