ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    No Breaks? What happend?

I got in my car this morning and had no breaks. it just went straight to the floor. but If i turn the car off i have pressure in the pedal but if its on i have none. So i checked my break fluid and it was low so i topped it off. Only it didn't solve my problem. i looked around the M cylinder but saw no leakage but there's leakage under my car. Anybody know whats going on?

    Brakes.

If the fluid was low, you have a leak. Chances are, there's air in the lines because of it. That would cause you to lose pedal pressure.
You could also have an issue with your booster.

Inspect your lines to see if there are any leaks. Replace both the master cylinder AND the brake booster.

      Oops my bad. Its late.

I checked the lines. no issues. Should i try to bleed? or just go for the cylinder and booster?

            Was it brake fluid?

I couldnt really tell. looks like oil but it could just be dirt off the engine in the b fluid.

Clean your engine bay. It's much easier to find leaks that way.
                  Top off your brake fluid.
Have a friend sit in the drivers seat and stomp on the brake pedal.
                  Look for the leak.

Stomp the pedal and listen for any squirting. Master cylinder may have blown a seal.

Same thing happend to me few months ago.
There was no leaks anywhere and there was no brake.
I replaced M cylinder and now it's working.

EDIT: also if im taking the M C out, how do i empty it?

Junkyard cylinder is a gamble. Buy a rebuilt one or rebuild it yourself.
Yes, you need to bleed the brakes.
Get creative. I bought a siphon system from autozone for like $3. I've also heard of people using turkey basters. I wouldn't use it for food after that, though.
