ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Sounds good! Unfortunately the car is parked out a couple blocks from my apt so I'll be a while, lol.

You said the engine doesn't even crank - sounds electrical, did you check fuses? Does the check engine light come on w/ the key on?

Okay, the engine struggles a bit but I finally got it to start..problem now is..it won't stay on -__-

It'll strain a bit to start, then it'll turn over and stay on for a few seconds, but after several seconds it'll sound like its slowly dying, then just shut off.

          this

Did you change your timing belt lately? Or played around with a distributor?

              including check engine light?

If your check engine light is not ON right before ignition, then either:
              1. Light bulb is busted
              2. Someone disabled it before you got it
              3. ECU

your check engine light should be on before ignition even if you dont have any problems. When your car is running and have no problems than check engine light is off. Im sure one of your sensor is busted, or the ecu went bad.

If you wanna fix it right do it yourself. Even if ur not mechanically inclined, you'll be surprised how easy it is to fix most things. I just made the mistake of taking mine somewhere with a similar problem to yours. All they did was change my ignitor coil and spark plugs and it cost almost $300. They said it was fixed but when I got home and tried to start it again. It would barely start. Waste of time and money. Cost way less to do it yourself.

you need to check for certain, to make it's getting spark. guesswork is, well, just that. also 110% it's getting fuel.

have you checked for main relay clicks.

there are many things this could be pointing to.

Damn, I didn't even think about a few of those things. I can look up instructions on how to check those issues and see if things start looking positive. I'm a beginner so everything I can possibly do myself, I'll take the learning experience!
