ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Removing A/C and P/S

How do you remove the A/C and P/S system PROPERLY and keep the car working after? The belt that goes to the A/C compressor, what belt is that?

for the P/S just remove the belt, hoses, the ps fluid and the bracket and your good to go. you might regret it afterwards. for the AC i dont know since my cb is a dx model so never had it.

It would be for not a daily so I wouldn't need the P/S. Plus it looks ugly IMO. A/C compressor has a belt and seems a bit more complex to me. Dunno though I'm pretty dumb about this type of stuff.

If you're not sure about the P/S, just take the belt off. If you like it, start removing the system. If you don't, put the belt back on.
A/C causes no loss of HP unless it's on.

How much hp would you gain from removing PS? Or is it just something to clean up the engine bay?

For the A/C, remove p/s pump, and alternator to have more access to the compressor. Then go ahead and remove as many a/c lines as possible, Unbolt the 4 or 3 nuts holdin the compressor in place and pull it out.(I believe you can remove the bracket as well). You can also remove the a/c fan (driver side) and condensor in front of the radiator (requires bumper removal).
Swing by your auto parts store n purchase a DX accord- Non A/C alternator belt before you do any of this

              Completely guessing: 17-30.

                More like 1-3.

OP, If you want to take the A/C out just get the belt for a DX without A/C.

                  a/cnd ps?

I would keep the a/c because it dose not use any power and its nice in the summer.with the power steering If you are set on getting rid of it you would have to change your steering rock to a manual one otherwise your car would be super hard to steer.
I would keep the power steering because it dose not use any power and make your car slower.your power steering pump pulley is not hard to turn at all there for its not going to slow you down. If you want to see just take the belt off and drive around.
Even if you took your power steering out and your whole A/C system all you gain is your car may way 15-20 pounds less and if you are trying to drop weight like that the gas in your gas tank is over 8 pounds a gal.

just remove everything completly and remove all belts, take the radiator out and remove your condensor. then you run one belt from the crank pulley to the alternator pulley. my car doesnt have a/c or p/s and its my daily. it only sucks when your at a dead stop tryin to turn, and i have an ex so the sunroof helps for the lack of a/c lol. doing this also leaves you with a fan that wont be used so im debating on using the ac fan as an extra cooling fan, but wiring it to a switch so i can control when it comes on, and just use it for when im racing, but thats just me
