Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Auto Shifter ?

    i am wondering if my shifter is broken when i pull it out of park and past reverse and let off the button it will slide all the way back to D3 not stopping at D4 like there is no gate that locks it out of sliding back to D3 or should it be like this from the factory im figuring no but it could be possible and if it is broken im guessing this is why i can't turn my sport mode on and off

    It sounds like it is broken. The shifter should catch at D4. Does the car shift into 4th gear when your driving?

      works just like it should other then it will go from d4 to d3 with out pressing the button on the shifter and from d3 to d4 the same and it shifts just like it should through all the gears as normal in d4 and in d3 i was pretty sure i had answered my own question but i had 2 check to be sure so a jy shifter here i come hopefully i can find myself one thats in good shape and not broken like mine that will probably fix my sport light not working and the fact that my cruise control doesn't work even tho all the lights come on like it is functioning corectelly

        If im not mistaken the shifter should be able to go from D3 to N without pushing the button, atleast thats how mine has been since day one. But i could be wrong. .

        I say you hold off on buying a shifter and just give it a little more time to get more response. just my .02

          Its fine as it is.
          Going from D4 to D3 without the button is for going uphill for a better load in rpm range. It locks where you have to press the button for D2 and L therefore you don't accidently bump it into those gears when driving at higher speeds.
