ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

It's my daily driver and I want to keep it that way I just want more power under the hood, my budget it limitless, I plan on saving for anything you guys recommend, remember it's for a daily driver, experience is preferred. Get ahold of HondaFan81, He has a connection for performance head porting.
After head porting i guess do an H23 IM swap and maybe throw in a Delta 272 cam or even a Stage 1 or 2 Bisi cam with new valve springs and retainers

A full build on a limitless budget for an NA F? Go to bisimoto.com and start drooling. Nobody knows more about the f22a.

        Limitless budget... no drooling required.

go to www.bisimoto.com and start BUYING!

Bisimoto has the most powerful F22A in the world, making over 450whp (N/A). It's in his record breaking pro-FWD Insight.

Bisimoto's parts are actually priced very reasonably, considering the amazing quality. They aren't cheap, but easily worth every penny. You don't need to look anywhere else to build the best possible F22A.
I would call them and discuss your plans. If you really do have a good deal of money to throw at an engine, then they could put something REALLY nice together for you.
You can also contact julio@bisimoto here on the site, or bisimoto himself (though he isn't here very often anymore.)

Ditto on what wed3k said. But if it was me and I had the cash, I'd look into stroking the motor as well. Crower makes a billet crankshaft that will fit, or you can also use the F23 or K24 OEM cranks as well. That would put you around 2.6 liters I believe. I imagine that 325whp could be obtained, provided you had the head fully ported as well with oversized valves to match the block. Then, for those hard to beat opponents, I'd consider a 100shot direct port kit from Zex if you don't consider nitrous to be boost. Then you're looking at possbily around 400-415whp at the tap of the pedal.

using thos cranks would put you to 2.6? i thought you had to actually bore it out to get that? i think i see what your saying but you have it worded a little weird.

Yes, a different crank would require appropriate rods, pistons, bores, etc. Sorry I didn't get too technical. I was just referring to the idea of stroking the motor in general.

ah word. nah your good i just got confused is all. but couldnt you just bore and get bigger pistons and not worry about the crank at all?

im acutally about to do a pretty good build. i have some things listed in mt mrt but im just doing research right now.

You can only bore but so much. For an F22 I believe max bore is 88mm on a sleeved block and for an H22 90mm. The crank doesn't necessitate excessive boring, although a half or 1mm over certainly wouldn't hurt. Keep in mind if you bore it all the way out thin, if a piston/rod blows or spin a bearing more than likely it will wreck a sleeve, if the sleeve is max bored, you could be looking at resleeving. So basically a new bottom end. If you didn't bore it all the way out, you have the option to further bore the block and hone for your new set of internals.

Thank-you for everyone who have gave kind words and supporting Bisimoto Engineering

As mentioned before Bisimoto has put a lot of research and development on extracting the most amount of power out of the F22A for Bisi;'s record setting Pro All-Motor race car. The car does make nearly 500whp and hold many records including the quickest Uni-body All motor fwd in the world as well holds the record for the highest MPH trap speed all motor fwd!

If you have any questions or need help with choosing the correct parts or services to build a monster out of your F22A both either NA or Turbo application from are wide range of race parts please do not hesitate to PM or give me a call at Bisimoto. My name is Julio and I am part of the Bisimoto Technical Department.

You won't be pushing 500whp N/A and still have it able to be street driven. That would be NO fun on the street! 250whp is probably about the max for a daily driver... and even that may be too much, depending on your driving needs. If you want to make 500whp and still drive it daily (which is FAR too much for a FWD car, IMO... but many have over 600whp and like it... not my style!) then turbo would be your best option. Bisimoto has fantastic parts for a turbo application as well, if you wanted to go that route.

Still, a 250whp N/A F22A in a CB7 that's been lightened to about 2600lbs would put you in the low 13s to high 12s in the quarter mile. That's putting you in STi territory. Pretty respectable for a naturally aspirated 20 year old family car, that's still running a heavily modified version of the stock motor!

Short answer- How close can i get to that 250whp n/a with around $1,000-$1,500? Machining ect. Doing the labor my self and misc. gaskets not include. Thanks
