ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Wheel hub and bearing question

Well, 4 months ago I replaced both front wheel bearings. During the pass. Side I noticed the hub had been eaten up from being driven with a bad bearing for awhile, so I wasn't expecting it to last.
Its time to replace the hub, my main question is: I found a hub and bearing combo on ebay for ~$56, now I'm not to fond of buying mechanical parts from ebay, but does anyone have any personal experience with these? If I recall correctly, the hub alone from tasauto is ~$140.

I understand the cost vs. quality debate, but at the moment I am unable to fork out ~$160+ for a bearing/hub/studs.

Here is the item in question: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Try an o'reillys if you have one close to your house. I had to do this on my car about 6 months ago (well...with some help lol). They didn't have the part in stock but had it the next day and the price wasn't terrible.

Well, I went ahead and ordered one from www.am-autoparts.com.
I figured for $56 shipped, it won't be to much of a lose if it only last 6 months.

Well, I just got it in the mail. It looks really nice and I don't see any flaws in it, should be installing it tomorrow. I shall report back on how fitment is.

Let us know how they work out. It's rather difficult to find the hubs. That price is very fair, as well.

Pics of how you take the thing apart as the most difficult part is getting tha axle nut and hub/bearin off. Also those 4 12pt nuts.
