ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    crank shaft position sensor help

    1990 honda accord ex coupe, f22a4 2.2

i know there are several other posts on cb7tuner about this.

    cel 4

find out its crankshaft position sensor

i look here on cb7tuner and found this same issue took the advice and bought a brand new distributor.

    the car still doesnt start

dont worry i put the new dizzy on the same exact way as the original one.

i thought maybe the stor gave me a defective one, so i returned it and got another brand new one and still the car does not work.

so i thought maybe the timing is super bad enough to where the car wont start, so i looked here and other accord forums, and did all of the ways to fix the timing, air in plug hole slightly turning dizzy, i checked if there is spark and its all good,

i also replaced spark plug wires, spark plugs, rotor.

i dont know what to do here.

i did a over the phone walkthrough on how to fix the timing and that didnt work at all.

i just called a mechanic, and i didnt say what i already did, and he said its probably the crankshaft position sensor, so i said i just replaced the dizzy.

and he said well then the crankpositionsensor is down by the transmission.

i looked online again and only read that the sensor is in the dizzy.

ANY help will be greatly appreciated. its been like this for 2 months.

ps. i dont have money for mobile mechanics or anything else. besides small things... my budget is 100$

    thanks

    Disconnect harness at the ECU.

On connector B measure resistance between B15 and B16. It should be between 260 and 500 ohms.

If there isn't, then there is an open in either the BLU/GRN or BLU/YEL wire from the dizzy to the ECU.

If the resistance is good, check for continuity to body ground on B15(BLU/GRN) on the B harness plug.

If you have continuity, repair the short on said wire.

If no continuity, try another ECU that you know is good.

    Hope that helps.

The Ecu is on the left and has three plugs. I recommend you pick up a helms manual and go from there.
