ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

tip man imm get a vid of my chatter for u to prove it...sounds just like urs and goes away when u push the clutch down...also let me explain for u its like looking at a wheel bearing were there is a race ring in a housing with ball bearings in the center and two ends of the houseing so when the bearing starts to fail the race ring seperates and the ball bearings have some play which creates the chatter untill u put pressure on the race ring(which is the part that rides on the forks of the pressure plate).so when u push ur clutch down it apllies this pressure and pushes the race ring and ball bearings back into place like new so the noise goes away...

mine makes the same noise. You hear it when the clutch is out, push the pedal in and it goes away. Been like that for a long time, I've had no issues. I plan on having my tranny rebuilt next year anyway.

I think its the throwout bearing. When you push the clutch in, is when it does not have a load on it making the chatter. I wouldn't worry too much about unless its just not tolerable. I had a 88 dx that did this for prob 2 years.

Mines made the same sound for like 3 years and it never gave me any problem, but i think my throw-out bearing is Bad.

I hope it's not the throw out bearing! Mine has the same noise and I've had it since before I recently replaced the clutch. It still has the noise so I'm guessing it's something to do with the transmission
