ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    E-Brake Light Comes On

My "E-Brake" Light comes on during a couple particular maneuvers:

    1) braking really hard.
    2) Taking a decently hard turn, a left turn at a decent speed.

Comes on, stays on a bit, then turns off. Any clues on what it could be? I recently tightened my e-brake cable (that 12mm piece that holds all the cables when you remove the center console), and I will be loosening that up sometime just in case. Do you think this may be the issue? its a little odd.

check the level of your brake fluid. there is a level sensor that will light it up when too low on brake fluid. check the actual E brake switch under the Ebrake to see if its loose.

Check the switch under the E brake, specifically the ground wire.

i had the same problem. it was driving me nuts!
i adjusted the cable like u did and still no good.
I noticed my brake fluid was a bit dirty(no idea why, maybe old fluid) and it was low on fluid. i drained the resevoir and filled it up with new fluid. i also noticed my rear pads were almost done. but after putting in new fluid, the light stopped going off. i have no idea if that fixed it lol but thats what i did.
the ebrake light doesnt pop up randomly anymore

You have to remember that as your brake pads wear, your brake fluid gets lower because it goes into the brake pistons, change brakes and your fluid returns to the original level. So one, check your fluid, two check your brake pads as it might be almost time to change them. And try not to let the fluid go low cause if you get air in the Master cylinder, your screwed.

never thought about the cable altering trouble shooting steps towards fixing the e-brake light. but when mine came on the master cylinder was bad so while your checking your bfl check for leaks at the lines under the master cyl

Ya the accord manual says " if the light goes on at any other time, it meansthe brake fluid level in the mastercylinder is low; add fluid.
