ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Okay this project is almost complete just one last question and I will have it all good to go. On the black box there is a plug with two prongs. I am guessing this is the one you hook up the wire that comes out of the ECU to. Does it matter which prong. Here is a picture if it helps

IIRC since it's a solenoid, polarity doesn't matter. One's power and the other one's a ground that goes to pin A17 at the ECU

So the ground goes to A9? Earlier said that the wire runs to pin 17.. I am a bit confused now.

Nope your right, I was mistaken, it's A17.

Okay so one end gets grounded and the other goes to the ECU? That is easy enough then. Glad I figured this out no before I put it on in the afternoon.

I believe not. One wire goes straight to pin A17 on the ecu and the other wire gets spliced into a 12v power source.

I've done this and i still don't even know if my IAB's are working properly.. hopefully by the end of this thread i'll know how to set it up correctly or check if mine is in fact working...
                    RIP '91 LX.

Who would have thought that this IAB would be so complicated. Such a simple idea.

Okay everything is bolted on and connected right. Didn't have a chance to run the wires to the ECU. When I crank up the tachometer starts bouncing. (only when in idle though). After that I closed the butterflies and gave the throttle some and it stopped it. I ran some wires to power and ground to keep the butterflies closed. It still will bounce and when I shift the tach shoots up around 500 rpms. Anyone who has done this have this problem or suggestions.

Are you sure your vacuum lines are hooked up correctly for everything?

After checking your vacuum lines, I would let the car warm up; take the two screws off the top of the fitv, tighten the plate inside (don't torque), put the cover/two screws back in, and see how it works from there.

Oh if you found these diagrams useful, don't forget to hit the rep button (the scale to the bottom left).

I will check it out. But not too sure that this is where the problem lies. The change in RPMs is very rhythmic. It doesn't change at all. And it keeps going at the same rate.
