    Cooling Fan not turning on

After giving my 92 Accord Ex A/T a full tune-up I currently noticed that my cooling fan isn't turning on when the engine is hot. The car warms up normal on a cold start and on a warm start its normal the needle gauge stays in the middle and the car never overheats. When I drive to work from home I feel a hot breeze coming thru the gas pedal as if the heater were to be on (but not on). When I got back home from work I opened the hood and a huge wave of hot air just came out of the engine bay while the engine was on the fan was not turning on tho.

Is there a way to adjust the cooling fan to turn on when its starts to get hot?

please post up pics on how to do it or a step by step procedure on how to adjust the cooling fan

Thank you in advance for the help

Is your car overheating? If not then the fan is probably doing it's job. It only comes on at a certain temp and if you're driving then its being air cooled and the fan has no reason to turn on. Now if you let it sit there and idle for a bit, and it never kicks on and the temp needle gets hotter than normal then you may have a problem. I would go ahead and let it run for a bit and watch that temp gauge. If it starts moving past normal operating temps then come back and post. You may be worried about nothing.

        Hello,

I am having a similar problem with my 92 EX. I have been researching it for a while and I found a few other threads on various Honda forums that may help. Both these threads deal with a radiator that continues to run after the car is shut off. However, it may be applicable to your situation.

This first thread talks about the temp switch at the top of your radiator.

        http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2371198

The Second Thread talks again about the temp switch but goes on to speak about the fan control relay module and has a diagram of a 91 Accord Fan Control Test.

my car never overheats and my fans never come on, if you really want to be worried you can get new fan switches and what not, and you can test to see if it actually works by putting a wire in the plug on the t-stat housing(key on the on position)

me and my friend had similar problems on our accords but we decided to run the cooling fan to a direct switch inside of the car.

That is a band-aid solution. It causes excessive wear on the fan motors to have them running all the time. If anything fix the coolant sensors, and use the switch as an overide.

                    help please.

How could one test the fan switch is working? i bridged the connection on the connector and the fan came on, so does that mean the relay is working? also i am getting a code six, but im not sure on how to check which sensor it is that could be not working.
