Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    eBay Exhaust combo with cat and header

    so i saw this on ebay. as said, 13 sold.
    Do you guys think this is a 'Decent' buy?
    or atleast, i want to your opinions

    it'll be loud, raspy, and the gaskets probably aren't very good.

    If you need a replacement now and are lacking funds for good quality then it'd be an okay buy.

    But don't get me wrong, it'll work just fine!

      look around you can get the same thing for 60-75$ cheaper. and yes its loud and raspy unless you drive like a granny, on the open road it sounds badass screaming ...the gasket issue..use the copper adhesive spray, each flange and each side of the gasket.

        i bought that exhaust, only because the original had holes in it. it is loud and very raspy when you get on it. and it drones inside the cabin, so if you like to listen to music i dont recomend it. I'm woring on getting a flowmaster muffler and im going to weld that to it with the glasspack i have. hopefully that will sound better.

          look around and get the exhaust and header. dont, and repeat DO NOT get the test pipe. most exhaust systems i've hear sound like crap because the person took the cat off or put on a "test pipe" or "high flow cat". ugh....sounds like crap. keep your OEM cat and if need be shave down the entry and exit holes to the same size as the rest of the exhaust.

            I currently have a KO Speed(ebay crap) on my car due to no funds at the time and its decent it will get you by. If you like the bass at low RPM and loud Rasp at high RPM ull be fine.

              so whats good for the gaskets? and its cause i just dont have a job yet and since its summer, i really wanted to start working on my car again

                that i don't know, I still have OEM (replacement) exhaust.... someone else i'm sure knows!

                    Honestly, your best bet is to find a job, and save for something good. Cheap crap will fit like cheap crap, sound like cheap crap, look like cheap crap, and probably last like cheap crap. I don't know ANYONE that is proud of a car that's packed with the cheapest "performance" parts they could find. If you don't absolutely NEED a new exhaust system right now, don't be impatient. Get something that will fit properly, sound good, look good, and last a long time.
                    And you're in CA... that header and catalytic converter are definitely NOT legal in your state. If a cop pops your hood, you'll get a ticket for sure.

                      Okay thanks deev. I'll listen to your advice since you've commented on all my posts lol. But yea forsure. What if I just want a nice sound to my car tho? Is just getting a better muffler the best bet? And cheapest? Cause I might just start working on my exterior rather than my engine for now til I get a job. Cause I really dont NEED a new exhaust system, I just want one.

                        Cheap crap will sound like cheap crap. Raspy and loud.

                        Spend the money for Apexi, RS*R, or GReddy. You won't regret it.

                            i had flow master on mine . they made me go to smog and he faild me at 100 db @ 3,900 rpm . butt when he pop the hood thats when he had a shit fit .
