Funny question but true. Anyone had a problem replacing theirs? Mine broke in half, I got it out, and went to 5 auto parts stores for a new one. Each store listed the same OEM replacement part BUT it's to big. One place even gave me a universal to try but no luck. Its a stock radiator, and it seems it's different than all others?? Help before I just put a whole new radiator in it that I don't need!!!! It's a 93 dx sedan 5 speed.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Before I order a new one is there anyway to see if radiator is aftermarket or stock? If advance auto, auto zone and orileys showed same plug that didn't fit, maybe mine has been replaced? It could be 19 years old?Originally posted by Accord problems View Post

Look for stamping's (Brand or part number) on the plastic molds. Other than that i wouldn't have any other suggestions besides maybe the radiator cap if it hasn't been changed.

well the radiator has a cap with an S branded on it. So its more than likely aftermarket. So, where the hell am i gonna get a petcock for a aftermarket radiator, considering this one and the stock one are different sizes? Any idea? It sounding more and more like im gonna be stuck with putting a radiator in this thing.....

Post up a photo of what you have with a scale on the back ground. Measure the dimensions, too. I have a non-OE radiator removed from my Civic because it was leaking. If the drain valve is a match with what I have, I can send it to you.

I don't feel like sending it for the sake of you to just try. Specially, knowing that you went and tried 5 stores to find the right plug yourself.
Since you don't have the original plug to size up, I measured what I have. As I said, this is from NON-OE radiator for a Civic. You claim to have OE radiator on your Accord. This plug may not fit. But anyways here are photos.

Now go on measure what you have as best as you can. And post up here your results.Last edited by oyajicool; 08-30-2012, 09:20 AM.A&P-IA
