ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

best thing is to do a compresion test and a leak down test . then report back.

and exactly what would need to be done?

it hasnt lost much power. still drops camaro ss and the new silverado and onther hondas with vtec but its just when i ''floor it'' thats when i see a small puff of smoke. i thought it was because im runnin on a prelude ecu but the ecu its got is from a f22a1 since dohc and sohc have different firing orders.

The engine is burning oil and smoking. It is good time to overhaul the engine especially you are installing a turbo on it.

As they say, the engine would have to come apart for internal parts up grades anyways if you want your engine to last with turbo.

Sounds like you have along road ahead of you to Turbo that thing. Better get some tools and read up on the stickys.

You need to take it to someone mechanically minded to do a compression test. There's more involved than just popping a gauge in your spark plug socket.

White smoke is a head gasket. Blue is oil. Black is fuel. Gray is usually condensation... steam.

                          thanks for the replys fellas!

its not a head gasket cuz i had a 92 integra ls and i blew the head gasket on it and it was a big difference in performance and had almost no compresion. and my coolant would disapear. it idles right under 1k. but when i take off it wants to bog out.

the other question i had was if it could be that it needs an oil change or tranny oil change. i read somewhere that the tranny fluid when its low or needs replaced it will throw a greyish smoke.

my main question is how long can i drive it like this for cuz its my ride to work and skool.
once again thank you for the replys and help.

ok the tranny is in no way hooked up to the exhaust. you dont know how to do tube seals yet you wanna put a dsm turbo on. our cars can not in stock form beat a camero ss unless its on blocks.

so far you have ignored the advice given to you. do test and use your findings to tell you whats wrong.

also you need to be detailed in your findings and what the symptoms are.

for instance. is it a greyish smoke only when you start your car or is it all the time. maybe you have a head gasket problem and a fuel problem causing grey smoke and should get another car.

with out you doing a compression test or looking down your tubes where the spark plugs are and just saying i read her i read there we cant help you. so please go and do test. are you throwing codes? good luck man.
