ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    F22b map

Okay I have a 92 4 door and the a6 went out so I swapped with a f22b. Everything is good on it but throwing a ce light because map sensor. I didn't want to use old map sensor because I have vacuum lines. Can anybody help me with how to wire up my new map on the throttle body?

Can you specify which F22B you are speaking of? There is a JDM F22B DOHC, USDM F22B1 (VTEC) and F22B2 (non-VTEC).

I'm thinking he's referring to an F22B1, but Errmac is right, you need to be specific when speaking of all engines. Especially F22Bs.

          F22B1!

You simply run your old MAP sensor connector to the new MAP sensor. You may have to unwrap the wire harness and pull out the 3 map wires. Then use some 3M electrical tape and tape the three wires up.

Have you altered the wire harness in anyway already?

Okay you might think I am crazy and I am just going to put everything I know down. The block says f22b that's it. And the serial number on the block and on the head match. It's not a b1. Because it would say it on the block and also the intake manifold has the fuel line on the driver side. Which is jdm and my receipt from tiger jap says f22b and has the vin on it which matches block and head to. I am confused as hell. I have done everything right. The car runs right and everything and I wouldn't be asking for help if I could have just used the old plug for the new map sensor plug. The old plug and the new plug are different so I had to cut the old plug off and crimp in the new one. I have looked everywhere for the wiring diagram for the new map but can't find one I have the diagram for my old one but need the diagram for the new one so I can match the wires up correctly. Like I said my new motor runs fine just really rich.

And yes I have. The old wouldn't fit the new map sensor so I cut. I went bu the colors. Old plug had red, blue w/white stripe and white w/blue stripe. The new had green, yellow w/white stripe and white w/ yellow stripe. So I match green with red. White w/ color stripe and color w/ white stripe

The JDM F22B SOHC VTEC is the same as the OBD1 (94-95) USDM F22B1...... sorry I didn't make myself clear in my last post.

As for the wiring; I'm pretty sure this should be what you are looking for.
                YEL/WHT ( + Sensor Voltage) - RED/WHT ( + Sensor Voltage)
                GRN/WHT ( - Sensor Ground) - BLU/WHT ( - Sensor Ground)
                WHT/YEL ( + ECU MAP Signal) - WHT/BLU ( + ECU MAP Signal)

You're right, you don't have an F22B1. Technically. However, the engine you have is identical to the the F22B1 in nearly every way. The F22B can mean so many things that it's important to distinguish by including other features about it when addressing it for the first time. In your case I would say that you have a JDM F22B SOHC VTEC. Then we know that it came from a late '93 to early '97 Accord in Japan.

What position inside the connector are these new wires? You may have the same MAP connector I do but I'm not close to mine right now. Basically from the firewall to the front, what order are the MAP wires in?

Yes. Thank you. I am in the middle of a hurricane right now but will try as soon as the weather lets up. I was going to do my own right up on the swap but this site says I am a "beginner" so can't post there which is dumb. And yes I was confused about what motor it was at first. Everyone kept talking to me like I was stupid but nobody would actually listen to me and as for the ecu. I am running my stock non vtec ecu but do have a h22a p13 ecu I tried to use but would bog out as soon as I gave it gas and I figured the ecu was already going to make it run rich but that combined with my map being wired wrong could have made it do that. Once I wire up map I will try the p13 again because my theory is that if my o2 sensor is working how it should then should make it run more lean and correct itself.

The P13 is the entirely wrong ECU to use for the F22B SOHC VTEC and makes me doubt most of what you've said about what you know about Hondas. The H22A has much higher compression, uses considerably larger injectors and also looks for a knock sensor. Use a P0A ECU from a '94-'95 Accord EX. You'll need to swap pins A6 and A11 on the ECU connector but you'll be running correctly.

I read on another site that I could use the p13 but thinking about it know they might have ment for the f22b duel cam. Sorry.

The F22B dual cam is non VTEC so the P13 wouldn't work for it ether. Whoever is saying this on the other site, has no idea what they are talking about. Now, if you where talking about the JDM F20B DOHC VTEC engine that is another story. The p13 will at least start and run that motor enough to get you moving.

Now if you don't plan on doing any major modifications to your F22B(1). i would suggest that you pick up a 94-95 Accord P0A ECU. Make sure you get one for whatever transmission you have. Can't go wrong with running the ECU the engine came with!

If you plan on doing some mods you may want to look into a chipped OBD1 ECU and having your car dyno tuned. $$$$

im not that good on ecu anyways. i am running my stock ecu which is non vtec. it works but just no vtec. i have looked and looked for a poa locally because i like local. i dont like buying things online because its always bs. i want to go outside and wire my map up but its raining its ass off. but yeah i would like a chipped ecu just to push a little more but dont have anyone local to do it. my car is getting worse gas milage then my lifted truck.

Buying online isn't always a bad thing as long as you buy from a reputable company. Just do your homework and ask questions and buying online is easier and cheaper than buying local. And this Weather is throwing a wrench into alot of peoples plans. Waiting for this storm to finish so I can drop my h in grrrrr.
