ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

How to cut off ALB system?

My ALBsystem does't work at all and I think it wouldn't ever be.
The problem is that brakes don't work like regular non-ALB, sometimes double push required, sometimes not

The idea is to convert to non-ALB by changing the ALB main unit with Brake Proportioning Valve

and connectig it to lines "To front right brake", "To front left brake", etc. by using a loooot of custom fittings

Crazy idea, i know, but it seems much easier to me than unmount engine and make new brake lines from scratch.

    Any advices?

What makes you think the ALB is to blame?
You realise the ALB system is independant of the main system right?

What is the actual problem your having, And what do you mean "sometimes double push required"

if you mean you have to pump the pedal a few times, try bleeding your brakes first

              Yes

any honda 1991 or older will say " ANTI LOCK " or " ALB " ( anti lock brakes ). ALB was honda trying to coin an abbreviation before everyone else. Everyone else decided on ABS and thus they switched in 1992.

Of course I know, but I also know that ALB-lamp was connected to oil pressure lamp by one of the previous owners It says a lot about alb-system condition
Also i already changed outer joints to non-abs (without abs rings) while repairing suspension, so there is no way back

Yes, it's what I mean. I changed all brake rotors and pads, checked calipers, everithing is okay. I did bleeding twice already.

The symptoms are similar to aired (don't know the correct term for it) brake liquid, but it is not.
Brake pedal sometimes works okay, sometimes braking begins at the end of the pedal way, to prevent it I have to double pump.

Then the ALB system isn't the issue, Sounds like the master cylinder to me.
Does the pedal slowly sink to the floor if you hold it down with slight pressure?

give your master cylinder a good check. look for leaks. that could definatly be the cause of a spongy pedal if youve already bled your brakes.

I'll try to check again, but I have had poor master cylinder on one of my previous cars, it doesn't look the same.

                        I did the usual check:
Engine stopped, pump brake pedal several times, pedal become firmer with every pump, and doesn't move while strongly pressed at the end. While keep pressing start the engine, pedal become soft and moves to normal position.

Also, I don't have problems while standing at the slope holding brakes.

Beside, one of the reasons to cut off the alb system: I'd like to participate track days this summer, so abs/alb isn't needed at all but adjustable brakes may help me )

                          Okay, chaps =)

Master cylinder internal leak and dirt in ALB unit were the problems. After cleaning and changing rubbers everything became good.

                          Thanks to all
