Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Code 23, H22 with P13 ECU

    Code 23, H22 with P13 ECU

    I was working on a H22 in a CB7 with a P13 ECU that was throwing a code 23 for a knock sensor. Replaced the knock sensor with one from Honda and checked continuity from the plug of the knock sensor to inside the ECU and it had continuity. Opened up the ECU and nothing looked burnt and all of the solder connections looked good. Would it be best to get a chipped ECU with a street tune on it and eliminate the knock sensor or try another P13 ECU?

    Best to get it working properly before you go eliminating anything.... though it sounds like everything should be working properly. Do you know anyone locally that has a known-working P13 you could try, so you don't have to throw money away if the ECU isn't the problem? That would be the first thing I would try to do if I was in your situation.

      alright, there are only 2 of us h22 accord guys here in gainesville so finding another one may have to be a junkyard find. thanks for the help

        I have read a little on knock sensor problems with h22. Something about using insulated wires so the the ecu doesn't get a false reading while driving.

          The wires for the knock sensor in the OEM harness are shielded. But I used regular wire when I did my swap and have never had an issue. I've got 70,000 miles and 6 years on the swap now.
