I know a few things, and I'm not talking aesthetically. I know the wagons have different rotors, calibers, pads, rear springs, mufflers... But the more I look for replacement parts, the more I see "(except wagon)". It's quite irritating really. For example, I was looking at struts. Most seem to say except wagon. Were the struts really different as well? If someone had a list of mechanical parts that were different it would be a blessing. And of course any Ebay shop is going to list that it is compatible simply so they sell their product, so I would appreciate viable means of definition. Thank you in advance.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You could always use a honda parts site like www.hondapartsunlimited.com and cross reference part numbers between sedan/coupe/wagon to be sure whether the part is the same or different...

A lot of the "except wagon" things you'll see aren't necessarily incompatible with wagons. The manufacturers of certain parts don't bother testing them on wagons, so rather than say the parts are good for all 4th generation Accords, they exclude wagons to cover their asses.
Aside from the obvious body panels, bumpers, and various interior parts, wagons share most of the same parts as their coupe/sedan counterparts. All wagons have larger front brakes, and 15" wheels to accommodate them (even the LX wagons with steelies... 15" steelies.) I believe the wagons have different shocks and springs, to handle the extra weight.
Engines are identical to those found in the sedans and coupes.

Yeah. Everyone just treats aftermarket suspension parts as universal... essentially for all CB, CD, and CE chassis (the CE1 is the USDM 5th gen wagon.)
They probably SHOULD have special consideration made for each, but they don't. In fact, most suspensions sold for the CB chassis were probably only tested on the CD chassis... if at all.

Welcome Rezz! Would love to see some pics of the CB9 ..
And speaking from experience, I had the same problem while looking up suspension parts.
I even called and spoke with Form and Function to be assured ..
These are IMHO the best of the best in terms of a strut/shock/spring combo.
And it took me awhile to warm up to "coil-overs" .. but after riding on these for 2 years now,
It's like I'm riding on air .. but with potential to have the height anywhere on the scale.
Post often and post a lot ..

It is hardly off topic... I went from daily posts and requests to none at all for three weeks.Originally posted by Joey GT-R View Post

And with all due respect, this is the thread I started. It is not as if I had thrown that information into someone else's thread where it was of little concern to them. I simply wanted to let people know my reasoning in my absense, so as not to appear to be one of the people that use forums only when it is convenient for themselves.

Thank you. I'm almost there, so in the mean time I am typing everything up and making sure the format is correct.

i'm fairly certain that some suspension components are beefed up in the wagons. linkages, arms, etc. There is definitely a thread here covering that, but I do recall having to really dig for it. if I find it, I'll post the link.
As for suspension, there should definitely be a different setup for the wagon than for the sedan/coupe, with all the weight over the back. I was considering mixing/matching sets to get a more appropriately tuned chassis, but it seems like most people just buy a matching set and slap em on. If you find any differences, post it up! I'd love to know.
