Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    wipers turn on when i turn key on?

    Hey guys,i bought a cb7 coupe about a month ago ran great, aside from the rare flicker of my lights and gauges when my.exhasut moved. Well the other day i bottomed out and all electronics completely stopped working. Got out towed home and i w as look ing at it and.noticed.the ground thats from the battery to the femder waa off.so i reconnected it And now when i turn the key on, the oil light, flash and wipers come on, help please i miss my car D:

    The oil light is supposed to be on when the car is on but engine not running, flash (high beams?) are they on? Wipers on? It sounds like the connections in the steering column area are bad if you can't turn those things off.

      I have to ask, how hard did you hit??

      You must of hit really hard to cause wires to physically come off. And assuming you did then it sounds like you also dislodged numerous other things. You'll have to recheck all the harness connections, especially up where the wiper motor plugs in.

        i hit pretty damn hard. hard enough that i bought new struts immediatly.
        i replaced my grounds and found the wire to my blinker(was never connected since ive owned car) was stuck between the bumper mount and the frame, got that reconnected and now everything works perfectly, im so confused everything works better than before. the only thing is, my oil light stays on when the key isnt in the car? i checked all my fuses and they are all fine.
        now the only thing left to do is fix the throtle cable. something happened t that as well when i hit. at first it got really hard to push the gas, and then the cable got stuckk pulled all the way out on the pedal side of the firewall but the cable on the other side of the firewall is like its where its supposed to be, i just cant pull on it at all
