ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Passenger mirror courtesy light fuse?

I did a little mod to my CB and I need to know which fuse or circuit sends power to the passengers mirror light, since I bought the car its never worked, bulb is good and I'm just not seeing any power at the terminals that hold the bulb.

    Thanks in advance

no such thing exists in our cars to my knowledge. None of our side mirrors have lights.

i believe OP is referring to the vanity mirror light, within the sun visor.

according to the wiring diagram below (vanity light is along the left edge) tracing back, it looks like it only receives power when the headlights are turned on, and ultimately the power comes from Fuse 23 (15A). This fuse also powers many other lights, so if the other lights on the circuit are working, then your vanity bulb is probably blown, or perhaps the connection loose. If you remove the visor from the roof, you can follow the 1-wire power wire. It uses the body of the car for grounding, via the mounting screw.

Thank you very much Mike that diagram may come in handy soon. Not 10 minutes after I make the thread I realized you need the lights on to get power to the vanity.

Now I have another issue, out of the blue my dash lights arent working. The ashtray light and all the lights that make the dash glow arent turning on today. The gear indicator lights and all the warnings work but nothing will dim with the switch, aside from the other lights not working.

        Bad dimmer switch?

Had a pinched wire up in the headliner where you screw down the visor, that took out all the interior lights except the dome lol.

Heres a little sneak peek at the mod I had mentioned. Gonna start a build thread now that I have the posts behind me.
