ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    car always out of alignment.

My car is acting up. My car always get out of alignment like after a month it was aligned, it keeps eating the inside of the tires, both up front. I asked the mechanics at the alignment shop to check the suspension for problems , and nothing was found. But I dont think that's true . Also i don't buy cheap-ass tires. So I'm wondering what u guys think? Could be balljoints? Control arms? Struts? Thanks in advance.

Air pressure sometimes affects it. Camber which is not really adjustable unless you have a kit. Is it just the inside? Id take it to another place to get it aligned if you have to keep bringing it back. They might be doing something wrong.

Dont mean to sound rude but are you guys Big guys ? i mean like over 200 lbs ? X amount of weight changes the caster, camber and what not. I my self being a big guy dont have a problem but i know some peopl have this problem and they are kinda large. Extra weight will lower the car on one side and will cause this problem. Some shops take this into account and some dont.

well, I guess somewhat they will adjust the rack... in a way, since the tie rods are on the end of the rack, and adjusting the tie rods adds or removes toe in/out. Toe also is much worse for your tires.

I'm talking about an actual adjusting bolt on the steering gear its self,i've seen a special "honda rack adjusting wrench" for sale somewhere....

i checked the bearings if they have play, but they dont have. so i guess my bearings are ok. and i dont think they adjust the rack.

i dont get it, if you have inner tire wear you are going to look for a CAMBER problem. thats when the bottom of the tire comes out and the top goes in.

is that your issue? most shops carry a 6 month warrenty if it goes out of alignment again so id take it back.

no way in hell its balljoints unless its bent, no way in hell its bearings cause you will hear it. if it was tie rods then one tire would have featherd wear compared to the other side.

take a look at your car from the fornt, its the bottom of the tire comming out and the top is going in??

is your car lowerd, do you have a camber kit if you do?

what is your specs from your last alignment, toe....caster...?
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

as for you, did you get it aligned again?

what were your toe specs....make ur steering wheel centerd to what you see it centerd, now look at the tires carefully from the rear or the front of the car, notice if one side is out more than the other or the angle isnt the same.

also what was your caster specs, was it off more than a few degrees....you can even look at your car from the side looking at the tire and note the gap between the bottom of the fender and the tire and then the other ajacent side. then look at the other side, if one is more extreme than the other then thats where your pull is.

heck no. thats to adjust freeplay in the steering.

the term you are looking for is tie rod adjustments and the technical term is "wintoe"
