Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    another overheating thread

    I have looked but I can't seem to find a answer to my overheating issue. I did an engine swap a while back and the temp gauge says its overheating. heres the weird part it starts to overheat in 1-2 minutes after starting it from cold. I know it is not the thermostat because I removed it to check to see if the water pump was working, and it does. the hoses both warm up at an equal temp, but the needle is pegged on the cluster, I know it can't be that hot because I can put my hand anywhere on the engine and not be bothered by the temp (ie the exhaust manifold,water necks ) so can anyone point me in the right direction because this is just annoying.

    it might be the thermosat or whateva it's spelled. maybe u got some air in it that need to come out. this is a MUST or u'll fuk up ur waterpump. when u take it off and put it back. u already have air lock inside. u gotta open a pin and take the air out. it's very easy. open it and let the coolant spills out till the coolant flow out of it freely instead of like a wave. if that dont do it i say replace whereever the sensor is.

      how do you check if you have a faulty waterpump. im overheating as well and haVE CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT BUT DONT KNOW HOW TO CHECK WATER PUMP WITHOUT REMOVING IT.

        Dude i looks to me like u have a bad temp sensor they go out its on the termostat housing

          Also when a water pump gos bad it starts leaking from the timeing belt first u get a drip then as time goes by it turns into i major pain in the ass with a big ass leak

            Check that first. Ignore the water pump thats pointless to check right now or it would be the last place to look.
