ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

What kind of Fuel filter did everyone use in their car?

I've been having this problem with fuel coming out of the threaded line for going into the filter, I bought a honda OEM one from the dealer today and that one still leaked. When i reinstalled my Bosch one (looks original because it was so hard to remove) there were no leaks at all. Do i have to use a Bosch filter? I think its part# 71504 i did a little research on it.

yeah i had the guy at the dealership look up the part number on the computer screen. the old bosch one was flat on the bottom though as the supposed OEM honda one is round. yeah all 3 washers were new and replaced, 2 on the exit line and one on the service bolt on the fuel rail

I used a fram one, I forgot to put in the washer that goes onto the fuel hard line and I dont have any leaks. Did you check to see if you cross threaded the fitting and possibly messed up the threads?

Or you could get thread sealant thats petroleoum safe

well i know i didn't cross thread it because i put it back on the old filter and its not leaking at all, I seriously tried at least 5 times by removing it and putting it back on, each time i hand threaded it for the first few threads.

If i could just post some pictures that i took of the two comparing them, you'd see my problem, the OEM one looks different than the one i had on my car and DOESN'T fit, the threaded line doesn't go in all the way. How do i post pictures? i tried to attach them but i got an error mssg.

i'd call up Honda and have them double check what they gave you since it's leaking.
