ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Optimas are good because they do not gas out hydrogen gas (flamable) and can handle alot of vibration also do not leak the electrolite (acid/water mix).
Can also be mounted in any position...

They do not help out with stereos or tv...

the red top is a starting battery

the yellow top is a deep cycle battery that can handles more load, i.e. for audio systems and such

blue top is a marine batter,

for more details visit the optima website or p.m. primesniper, he work at a battery place and is very knowledgable when it comes to batteries

In all honesty the red top is a pile of shit, If you discharge the red top once or twice it will never hold a charge properly again. And to make it worse they cost well above a regular acid battery, and they are no better.

The yellow top is worth it if you can get it cheap.

Sine when did they not help out with systems? why do u think people upgrade their batterys when they get a good system?? so they can run the system without the car be on n killing the battery, Why else do u think they buy these batterys??? (for looks)

not true, from personal experience, i've had my red top for about 1 or so, and every weekend, when i was my car i bump my stereo pretty loud for about 1 hours or so, the reserve capacity is like 90 minutes and when i turn the car on, it turns on like nothing, very smooth, maybe people just get bad batteries, good thing for the 3 year warranty

I am not talking about the reserve capacity, im talking about if it dies completely by leaving on your headlights. If you try to charge it, it wont charge.

i have the yellow top, never had any problems with it and it's been through an accident. so a very tough battery. it does weight a little more. I'm running a system and it's never drained or anything like that
