ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Engine question

MY car idles around 700RP-800 RPM when warm, and when i turn it on and keep it at park it goes to about 1600 RPM and it rises nearly to 1900 RPM ( warmth mechanism) then once i go to R or do it goes down, but the problem is, if u watch my engine when i shift it into R espeically. the whole thing jerks. Im guessing its bad motor mounts? it also vibrates alot, maybe cuz of the RPM drop? if its motor mounts, ill probably live, but i want a H22A so the only time i'd b messing with that is if i got one thanks in advance!

    - btw: i did a search and it gave me a error code or something so thats why i posted this

The error code means you searched for too detailed a topic... the search feature sucks, so you have to be general!

It sounds like bad mounts to me. Our automatics shift hard regardless, and 17 year old rubber doesn't do much to combat that! Either get new mounts, or fill the old ones with urethane. Filling them will make for a little bit more vibration, but it will keep things steadier...

      r u gonna fix 'em

so, if that was happening to my CB7, i'd be fixing it PRONTO

the motor mounts do more than just attach the engine to the chassis. They keep things aligned. Ever try to change your belts? Not much room in there eh? If a mount on that side is FUBAR, the engine can drop and then when belts connect the chassis while engine is running...well you just might be up sheeeeeeeeeeet creek.... It also affects alignment of engine to tranny.

Just my opinion, I think you should fix 'er soon.
      YEP. I AM Canadian.
