ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Yea my cb does this too but ive been thinking its the hub assem/wheel bearings but i checked those last week by doing the 12/6 thing and they are perfect...no play in my wheels whatsoever so lets get some ideas on this.

When i go to slow down my car vibrates and i get a whirring sound....now the wirring sound could be my tires(tire hum) but the vibration is driving me crazy...its been doing it ever since i installed my ITR's.

So yea id like to fix whatever it is causing this.

does it do it just letting off the gas or when you use the brakes? If it only does it with the brakes your rotors are probably warped, you'd feel a pulse in the brake pedal and the steering wheel could also shake back and forth along with the whole car. if not with the brakes, I'd suspect something in the suspension.

either warped rotors or the hose going to the brake booster is gone bad along with the one way valve that connects them both try the cheap route and slowly work up the money latter or is it a money pit i can never tell LOL
                    good luck

well its deff when i get on the brakes to slow down to a stop...

like that last few feet you travel before coming to a complete stop.

No pulsating or anything...its a continous vibrating...but its not heavy...its light but you deff can feel it.

I have a whirring sound too, noticed it recently. I also know I need an alignment and wheel balance. But, i'm poor so i'll fix it when it breaks

For our cars you need to find a shop that can turn the rotors while they're on the car. Or just replace the rotors with new ones. This is all because of the way our rotors are designed. Do that along with a pad replacement and properly bleed your brake system and you should be fine. If that's not it, check your tire wear. If it looks bad have them rotated and balanced and that should do it.

I can't believe it took 9 posts to say warped rotors... that is probably the case. Wheel balance is usually felt when rolling. Suspension will cause vibration, but only on rough roads (and braking on rough surfaces will often amplify this).

If you know you need new pads, your rotors are probably warped, or even damaged. When your pads start squeaking, change them ASAP. I neglected to change my pads when they started squeaking the first time (I had never done it before...) and I ended up with some badly damaged rotors (which I still have...)

i recently started working at firestone as a mechanic and most of the people that have that problems usually cause my wheel balancing it cost less than $10 a wheel.
