Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

F20a ECU on F22b Engine

    F20a ECU on F22b Engine

    Hi

    Here is my quastion

    Can i use F20a DOHC NON VTEC ECU on F22b DOHC NON VTEC?

    What do you think?

    It should run, But I would think it wouldnt run to the full potential. The f20a is just a destroked f22b basically.

      so it will run like it is with f22a SOHC ECU ?

        the JDM f22B and the F20A are both DOHC motors.

          I am asking this question because I am going to swap for f22b DOHC.
          I can get F20a DOHC ECU easily but I can't find F22b ECU.
          So should I get the F20a DOHC ECU or keep the stock which is f22a SOHC.

            If you are not going to be chipping the ECU the H23 ECU will work but you will need to install an H23 knock sensor. If you can get your hands on a JDM F22B ECU that would be best.

              Should I get the F20a DOHC ECU or keep the stock which is f22a SOHC.

              The F20a ECU is DOHC so it will not work on the F22b it is DOHC

                Either way, it should run. Getting the proper F22B ECU would be the best option, though. That, or get a chipped ECU with proper tuning. I'm not sure what shipping would be like for you, but there are a few guys on here that would modify a P06 to run the F22B quite well.
