ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    H22A Engine Question

How much would it cost for the H22A engine without the transmission? Because I have a automatic transmission off of my F22a4, and they are interchangable, right? and what kind of other modifications will i have to do to make it work, I have a 92 accord LX, and I'm tired of putting alot of money into a engine that has over 234,000, and the f22a4 isn't even the original motor and I don't even know how many miles are on it, So, I want the H22A engine, plus it has more power. I already have some money saved, I just need to know where I can buy this engine at, any good dealers that y'all can recommend me too? Thanks.

Check out hmotorsonline.com I believe they have it there for a good price without the tranny I forgot how much, but if I were you I would save up for the tranny aswell because f series tranny don't move the h to its full potential, get at least a h23 tranny if you can those go for pretty cheap.

hmotorsonline.com is probably the best and most reputable out there....some of the others I have dealt with is StreetImports.com and JDMenginedepot.com...all good companies IMO.

definitely change out the tranny...but the "F" will work for a while as a beginner piece....save up for a M2B4 LSD tranny if you can!

Nitrous is like a hot chick with a STD..... you know you wanna hit it, but you are afraid of the consequences.....

...Zex wet kit, 65 shot, dual purge, JDM H22...pure sex! .....I owned 8 CB7's in one year...top that JARHEAD...lol

hmotorsonline.com is a bit more expensive than some, but I'd trust them over anyone else.

Keeping the F22A automatic transmission isn't a great plan. It will work, but the gearing will seriously take the fun out of the H22! Automatic makes the H22 less fun, and the tall gears of the F22 transmission will make it even worse! Still good, but bleh...

Thanks guys, Yea, I think I'm going to save up a little more for the manual transmission since the Automatic tranny would be holding the power back. Thanks for all the help and input.

P13. The stock H22 ECU. Unless you want to get a P28 (92-95 Civic EX/Si) and have it chipped and tuned. A dyno tune is best with that. Not cheap, but it'll get you more power and better fuel economy (I'm running one right now). The P13 is the best place to start, though. Any "motor, tranny, ECU" package will come with that.

As for the auto to manual... you'll need all of the manual swap parts. It'd be smart to look into the mount kit made by Explicit Speed Performance (they have a Member Shop here) to make things easier. The mounts will aid in performance, and they take care of the need to do any welding (minor welding is normally necessary for the auto to manual conversion)

Thanks for all the help. Deev, You're very quick at replying to any question, I see your name everywhere, lol. Thanks. Oh and one more question, Do I have to drill a hole through the transmission to make it fit or no?

I believe you do have to tap the transmission. I'm not sure if that's the case using the ESP mount or not, but I'd be prepared to do it regardless. There's a how-to in the swaps forum that makes it look quite easy.

And yeah, I tend to spend more time on here than I should... 11,247 posts are only the ones that are COUNTED I spend more time in the OT sections that don't count the posts than anyplace else I suppose it comes with the territory

Yea, I will be prepared for it and those mounts are really nice, that would be a good investment. Thanks for the help. How long have you been on this site?
