Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Car won't start!

    So last night I was doing some donuts when all of a sudden my oil light came on and my engine started sputtering, I was thinking it was probably oil deprived kinda like us needing oxygen but I was right around the corner so anyways im doing like 15 to make it home literally about a 7th of a mile a little more than half. so I push down my pedal and my engine exhaust sounds like a harley now and my car isnt going anywhere so I'm like damnit i hope it makes it home i get right before my driveway and it dies out and my dumbass before it was stopped throws it in park so it makes that wierd clicking noise for a second but anyways it stops so we pushed it the rest of the way up the driveway.

    so today I go and get 3 quarts of oil put it in, and it still won't start.

    It fully cranks over, good battery(im assuming with it cranking over) , the belts move, everything but it just won't start. no check engine light, no oil light and my battery light flashes as im trying to start. I'm guesssing, I fucked over my engine huh?
    No longer have a cb7.

    sounds bad. Charge the battery, or jump it while you try to start it and see if it will start again. Sounds like you ran it hot with no oil and could have hurt something. Give us an update so we can suggest options for you.

      yea I'm gonna try jumping as soon as I get somebody to but other than that I think im pretty fucked

        was it putting out smoke or leaking oil on the ground. any thing like that

          see if your gettin a spark if the jump doesnt help

              Donuts...Anyway you could have fucked up a lot more in the motor. Could be as bad as a bearing as mentioned. When you are spinning with a stock pan all the oil goes to one side of the pain. WHen that happens not enough oil gets into the sump and decreases lubrication. I learned thsi before stock accord sumps are NOT baffled so you hit a turn hard enough the oil light will come on and go off right after. I would make sure nothing flung out from the bottom of the car or something...If you needed to put in 3 quarts of oil when you checked you have a problem...

                It doesn't seem to be leaking too much oil. I have about 6 bolts out of the 22 or somtin on the pan missing. ummm and no I didn't see smoke and it doesn't now either*.

                Well I'm getting the jump tommorrow my step dad is coming to work on the car. WHy is that I can see cars do a show of 360's backflip and shit at the races, and I think I went around 4 times? and have a fucked up motor?

                  BC they are made to do that? You are probably driving a stock, or fairly close to stock car. Thats why you cant do that shit that they do.

                  Thats what i was thinking. My cousin was doing his autocross, with no oil, bc he forgot to check it, and spun a rod bearing. He said he added like a LOT of oil afterwards. Sounds like you man. Also are you sure you werent low on oil in the first place?

                    ok so spinning a rod bearing, this does? and how bad to fix it?

                      You said the exhaust sounds like a Harley? Last time I heard a car do that after being ragged on, it had a hole burnt through the piston. It would also cause you to lose oil badly, including a huge drop in oil pressure.

                        Not exactly like a harley but my exhaust tone got louder and my car wasn't really going that far. The rpms was going up though.

                        damn dude that would suck if thats it. still no startup. I think it's one of those worst outcome case.
