ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    H22 question

Ok, we been through this many times. But here we go again. I wanna do the H22 head swap on to my F22A1, that valve cover just looks too sexy to pass up! Here are my question(s) though.

-Other then the hondabond i need to use, are there any head modifications i need to make for the DOHC to properly fit on the block?
-The H22, will i need the Intake manifold for the H22, or is there one that is better that i can get?
-When i put everything in, and i got the head bolted onto the block, im told that i need to run wires to the VTECH Solenoid, but where do those wires go to, the ECU?
    - How much HP and throttle responce am i apparent to have after the head swap?
-When swapping over the H22, do i need a different fuel pump then the one that i have currently, or is it good enough?
-After swapping the H22, will my exhaust header i just purchased off ebay work with that head, or will i need to purchase a new exhaust 4-2-1 header?
-Will the S2000 Throttle body work on the H22 head?
-When i convert to the H22, Do i use the H22 spec timing belt, or is there a specific belt i need?
Knowing that my F22 block is still in great condition, is it a smart move to put it on this motor? ( I have 260XXXkms on it as of now) I tested it when i got it at 210 PSI each cylinder as well. Going to retest on the weekend.. thats all i can think of right now though.
    Thanks!

Use the h22 or get the h22 intake manifold from hmotors either one will work, the one from h motor means you have to mess with the firewall.

There is no VTECH solenoid but there is a vtec solenoid, check the swap second that will tell you were to run the wires use a p13 ecu or p72(I think that’s from a gsr) .
The stock fuel pump will be fine.
You will need a new header.
The s2000 Throttle body will work but you need ap1 one I think. The rest of the stuff I don’t know.

If we as a forum have been through it many times....why is it being asked again. just curious. haha

ill take a LITTLE time to answer some of ur Q's

1)since ur using the H22 head..u can use the H22 intake mani OR a euroR intake mani (requires mods) or a Skank2 intake mani....ur choice.

      2) Yes ur gonna need to run wires from the VTAK solenoid to the ECU (pin positions for a OBD1 ecu is covered here in the swap FAQs thread.

3)If ur using a H22 head and u bought a H22 header..why wouldnt it bolt to the head..whether or not it bolts straight up to ur current cat/exhaust thats another story. which im not sure about...never cared for Franks. an F22 header will NOT work

4)No, an S2k throttle body will not work with the head. but it will bolt to the H22 intake manifold, hahaha!

5)H22 belt wont fit the frank, if i remember correctly....

      6) would i do it to my F22 (if i had one, ) with 260k miles??? nope. but thats my opinion only.

      7) your accord fuel pump will do just fine.

      8) ur throttle response and hp gain will be a little better. no HUGE gains from what ive seen which JUST slapping the H22 head on....

best of luck man! have fun with it
