rear brake dash light

a while abck i got my tint re-done and some how my rear brake light burnt out. so i replaced it with with the right bulb, i think its sumthin wit 34... n e wayz, the light is now on and has been on for months. ive had the battery disconnected several times for other work ive done, and still it remain lit. any ideas?! its very annoying.

i got that light when i hit the brakes the bulb didnt light up, somethings up with the electrical.

Meh, happens at random times with mine, haven't really worried about it. All my other brake lights work fine (tails and spoiler).

When I first got the car though it didn't work and the whole ting was melted to shit. My mechanic replaced it, he says he sees it a lot with the hondas, especially if someone sitting with the brakes on for a long time it'll start burning up :S.

Mark, its probably because you have the blinkers wired up to be on all the time lol.

This will come on too if a bulb is old or about to burn out

Recheck all your brake lights as mentioned.

Mark, its probably because you have the blinkers wired up to be on all the time lol.

the bulb is new and the same one that should be there, i think its 3497 bulb.

This has been covered a number of times. I don't entirely understand it, but someone pointed the issue to a little black box in the tail light assembly that bassically goes bad after a long time. It then gives false readings of rear bulbs being out. Mine's been like this for months. Sometimes it is on, other times it is off. No big deal really. Let me see if I can find the thread.

Aha!! Read this thread and do what you wish. I still don't see how the light could be on if the battery is unplugged

Thank goodness, I was REALLY worried. Anway, they are located in the outter section of the tail lamps on both sides. They are little brown-black boxes. Look back at my last post, it is edited with a link that should help you. Good luck
