ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    ^ very well put.

and like ive tried stating, this thread isnt to knock on the accord or the f/h motors, but simply just to see if anyone has done this type of swap, but since this is the internet ofcoarse things get off topic.

for those who had somewhat usefull post

i guess this thread is a lost cause.

      Has it been done?

      Answer: No.

That is the end of it. This thread hasn't gone off topic... it's just that the original topic has been exhausted. Nobody has put a B series engine into the CB Accord. The rest of the posts are simply to illustrate WHY this hasn't been done.

In your original post, you mentioned talking to your shop about having it done. They suggested it. That implies, to those here on the internet that read it, that you are contemplating having it done. For that reason, people are actually trying to help YOU out by telling you the downsides. You return with "I'm selling the car, and just curious. This thread got way off topic."

      So...

NO, nobody has done it, at least nobody that anyone on this forum is aware of.

NO, it is not a good idea, because it takes too much work.

YES, the motor WILL move the car, contrary to popular belief. The Integra GSR is only about 200lbs lighter than the CB7. Pull your power steering, air conditioning (two things that would be a pain to hook up anyway), and install a lighter B18, and the CB7 will weigh about the same.

NO, this thread is no longer open... since the original poster seems to be bored with the direction it has taken, there is no reason to leave it open.

Let me just chime in a bit

to those who say that a B16/B18 is insufficient to move the CB chassis, they are wrong.

My CB1 used to have a 'weedy' 1.8 litre carburated F18a. And it was peppy. Yes, peppy.

It served its purpose. It worked its way to the redline. It sipped fuel along the way as well.

A b16a puts out more PS and almost similar torque figures to the carb'd F18a.

A B18 will definitely hurl the car faster. come on, 200PS is more than enough.

But is it worth the money and time? Add in a few expletives along the way, and you'll probably regret doing the entire swap.

Want to be unique? Get an F20B DOHC VTEC or an H23a DOHC VTEC. These engines were designed for our platform. Heck, they were spawned from the CB generation as a matter of fact.

Its like putting the heart of a greyhound into an elephant.

It still works. But is it right?
