    Newer cars.

Crappier engines (aside from 5 extra horsepower over their bone stock CB counterparts)

An actual SiR model with an H22... but never sold in the US, so that means nothing to us.

Different looks... some prefer the appearance of the CD to the CB.

The tuner world took to the CD more seriously than the CB, earlier on, anyway... so there are a few more options for the CD that aren't there for the CB.

    The suspensions are very similar.

The main deciding factor is the way they look, and the age. One isn't considerably better than the other, especially when you're dealing with cars that have swapped or boosted engines.

Having owned both, I like the CD better. Its mostly the interior, the cars drive the same, because they largely are the same outside of an updated appearance, and updated, but worse, motor.

have to worry about OBD2 on 96-97 models
        more aftermarket support than CB's
basically a sleeked out version of a CB
I eventually want own one of each and even a 6th gen

I prefer the 4th gen sedan, 5th gen wagon, and 6th gen coupe.
However, I feel the materials used in the 4th gen are superior to the 5th and 6th (I used to own a 2002, and I bought a 96 for my best friend when he lived with me...)

                wut?

Aside from the beginning gibberish... the 6th gen never had a J32 in it.

I prefer the CD for the progressive body lines that still look good to this day. The CB is too boxy for me. Both are great cars.

I can appreciate either in good condition. I feel that I actually see more CBs that have been taken care of properly than I do CDs... but that may also be because I surround myself with them!

In crappy condition, both cars look awful. Then again, nothing looks good in crappy condition!

Both look good imo but i like my shoe box CB7, dont know if the weight is any diffrent but the CD5 look twice as heavy (but im pretty sure its about the same)

A CD weighs a couple hundred pounds more than a comparable CB, but otherwise they are really the same car. I've seen a CD described as a CB in a dress, and its pretty accurate. I like the interior of the CD more, and I'm a bit biased on the exterior being that I own a 97. Both drive extremely well, I think the CD has a longer wheelbase (because it has a longer wheelbase than most cars), which will make it a little less nimble but more settled feeling.

They generally take the same suspension parts, engine swaps. CB's are probably built better, but CD's are screwed together pretty well too (both better than most new cars). It really comes down to if you like the way they look. Oh, and the F22Bx motors aren't as good as the F22A's. If you are swapping, this is not a concern.

the economy honda motors(D and F series) that were built after 95 were not built to the same standard as previous years for cost reasons

the crank as two oiling holes on 95 and earlier, and from 96 on they only have one hole and it is not on the correct side of the crank

the holes are on the bottom of the crank when the combustion stroke is happening instead of on the top of the crank were it will lubricate the rod bearings when the most force being applied

I hadn't heard this. Maybe this is why so many F22Bx motors eat rod bearings and have knocks?

I will state that an F22B2 will survive a long time with no bearing left on one of the rod journals, and under 10psi of oil pressure at idle.
