You just have to unscrew it... thats what I did with mine. Sanded it then, painted it, and screwed it back in..

It's Cusco, and aluminum, you gotta pay to not be able to actually use the parking brake the way it was intended. How do the tail-draggers park on a hill? I guess you could wedge something under the p-brake handle. lol
