Like i said, try to clean it with a micro fiber towel and if that doesn't work follow it up with a buffing tool.

You're stuck with them. The guy I got mine from left his big greasy prints all pver it, and they blued the chrome. I've tried everything from stainless steel polish to wheel cleaner to stainless steel wool and toothpaste. you might try heating it with a torch until it gets a uniform color to it. I'm planning on getting some thermotec header wrap and doing mine this spring.

I've got the same issue, was just working on my car and thought, there has to be a way to do it... I wonder what Type G would suggest? he's the polishing genius

I'm pretty sure your Header would catch on fire resulting in your car burning to the ground lol! But go ahead, try it if you like.

since they are stainless steel, you'll need a polish and high speed.

i'd try mag & aluminum polish with something like a powerball and a fast drill (electric).

although they are hard to get off, they aren't permanet.

worst comes to worse, you can sand them off. later.

Or, I guess if it's that bad and they won't come off, you could just wrap your header??

I just used some 800 grit, then worked up to 2000 and got the shine back.
                              wat?
