Why don't you color-match it with your vc? Just my 2 cents.

The VC and SRI are just temp painted. I like them, but they aren't what I originally planned to do. I have the correct VC for the car (it says Honda Motor Co. instead of just Honda like the 92-93 vc got. It's just a thing with me that I want to put it back on the car. lol) and I'll paint it, the plenum and the SRI all together, and then everything will match up.

Those pics just didn't convey the true color, so I pulled it out into the sunshine and snapped a couple of pics. It still looks like an oil spill happened, but the more I see the color, the better I like it. The black needs to be more black though, so it'll get redone, but I think this is the color I'm going with under the hood.

No hurt feelings here, we all can't like the same things. There's a lot of things on yours that I wouldn't do to mine.

looks like an 85 year old with the shakes tried to refill with used oil...

But once you get everything else I think it'll look really hot...still...with just thicker color and lighter color...kinda looks spilt oilish...design maybe?

After I cleaned up the plenum, sanded it down, then wire wheeled it (seems to bring the cast texture back up), I had a can of satin finish spray tint laying around, and I just shot the plenum with it out of curiousity. Then, since I was spraying paint around, I sprayed it very heavily, then kinda bowling-balled it. (I say kinda because I didn't lay a sheet of saran over it and peel, I used a scrunched up plastic grocery bag and dabbed at it, just to see how it would look.) I wasn't thrilled with it, so I set it aside and then a couple days ago, I came across a can of clear orange or yellow and thought "HMMMM....." I started laying it down and the darker it got, the more I liked it.

I'm definitely going to strip it back down and do it better. This is just me doing quick experimental shit.
