side moldings, shaved, painted or just black

im going to be doing a bunch of body work and painting my car, and i really cant decide if i want to just leave my side moldings alone, paint them or shave them all together. i have only seen them shaved on a sedan, and i liked it, but i have a coupe so i dont know if it would look as good, since its not only the door and fender moldings which would be shaved, but the rear quarter moldings as well.

for referance it is a rosewood coupe with a legend lip, black mirrors and blackhoused lights

I voted to leave them cause with your color they look best left alone.

I voted to leave them the factory color, but if they are faded looking use some of this to "restore" them.

Used it on my legend lip and it works great.

I voted shave them because I actually know someone who has them shaved on a COUPE and they looked sick!!

It got me thinking about doing it to my sedan

Fuk Man, I Was Gonna Say Thin Moldings, But U Said>

I Used To Like The Shaved Look, But I Kinda Like The Moldings More Now.

If I Can Find Some1 Whos Nice In Welding And Has Skill, Ill Prolly Get My Doors Moldings Shaved, But Ill Still Have A Door Handle.

Ill Jus Swap The Rears To The Front=no Key Hole. And It Will B Cleaner.

I like the molding on the 90-91 to be black, the thin ones really. to me the 93-92 can get away wit painting the moldings to match, but I rather leave factory.

i voted for shave them. i've always liked how that looked on cb's and is one of the things i plan on doing when i start on my bodywork (after the engine bay is done). if you do, just make sure you shave the ones on the bumpers too, it looks odd otherwise.

                  90/91 = paint match them.
                  92/93 = black.
